“When I created this painting I was meditating on the times in my life when I dreamed about experiencing a sense of belonging. I believe all human beings desire to feel a genuine sense of belonging where you they feel secure, support, accepted, included and celebrated. Sometimes we achieve moments or seasons of belonging. Sometimes we experience difficult situations or circumstances in our lives, when a sense of belonging is a cherished dream that keeps us motivated to survive and helps us resist urges to give up.”
