“Inspired by the beauty of nature and abundant color and light, I want to share a joyous yet peaceful and transcendent feeling. For me personally, the experience of drawing them reunites me with my own childlike playfulness, and a physical agility which is not always a part of my everyday reality. In other words, the experience of making them helps me escape physical pain by reminding me of my inner-beauty and light.

Favoring dancing color patterns and harmonizing soft shapes, I try not to get too belabored articulating specific flora or an intense, hard-edge realism, allowing a fantastical and magical world to happen, where a light touch does the trick. There is a boldness and strength needed, however, to keep the works feeling grounded and rooted in reality. Therein lies the challenge.“
