Illuminated Road Of Opportunity

“I was inspired to create this piece as I am beginning a new path in life, transitioning from a career as a physician to an artist and wanted to make a piece that illustrated a new road of opportunity that I was beginning to travel. I was initially unsure of what path I would take after ending my career as a physician but opportunities in art came up and illuminated a new path for me and so I added the light post to symbolize this. When viewing this piece I hope that others who are undecided see that there are always roads of opportunity. They just have to decide which one to take or which one lights up for them.
The materials I used for this piece were paint brushes, a palette knife, acrylic paint, molding paste, gel medium and paper. I finished the piece using a matte medium and a gloss medium.”
