“This painting emphasizes my ritualistic physical and structural approach to artwork that interweaves texture, form, line and color. Relic is meant to evoke a sense of history and Iconography. The arch shaped top, like a portal, is reminiscent of ancient religious iconography art to induce a feeling of spirituality.
I combines geometric shapes and lines with gestural shapes and marks to create visual excitement by juxtaposing contradictory elements. These works are intensely worked to create exciting textures that appear both destructive and regenerative.”
